The 95 for '95....Run To Honor

The 95 for '95...Run To Honor has been initiated by members of the United States Naval Academy Class of 1995 as a means to honor fallen comrades. Many '95ers will gather in Washington D.C. on October 28th, 2007 to run the Marine Corps Marathon as an expression of love and respect for their hero classmates who have made the ultimate sacrifice. We are eternally grateful to these brave souls and the families that remain behind.

The names of these heroes are
Doug Zembiec, Megan McClung, Erik Kristensen, Rich Pugh, Bruce Donald, and Brendan Duffy.

The original objective was to gather at least 95 members of the class of '95, a goal that seems more likely every day.

This blog will be used to provide all event information by organizers but is open to eveyone to create other posts about training tips, training groups, stories, questions, suggestions, gripes, rides, rooms, shoe tips, pictures, jokes, or anything else your heart desires.

Re and I are looking forward to the dinner and then watching the Marathon and 10K. I cannot run anymore, or I would be in there with you.

Well, that worked much too fast. Anyway, we will be there for the dinner, please stop by and say hello!

If you are in the NorthWest, there is a 10K being run in Megan's memory on 15 Sept. at NAS Whidbey, you are invited to run. We will not be in the area unfortunately, but would love to have you run anyway.

Semper Fi,
